ABC Compass: Sacred Space with Maggie Dent

Maggie spent the day with Geraldine Doogue where she shares her sacred place, an ocean pool on the south coast of NSW.  Geraldine Doogue seeks powerful connection with prominent Australians through an investigation of their sacred space and what it means to them. In this interview Maggie shares her story and experiences raising boys, choosing to be a different mum and much more.

‘After I had my third son, I had people coming up to me almost crying you know saying you poor thing you didn’t get a girl. And some of them were going to light candles for me at St Josephs because they were so sad for me. … It was just like I got the dud gender… And so, I guess that lit a fire in me really that wanted to change that dialogue around boys.’ – Maggie Dent
