The misery guts fixer visualisation is designed to help little kids aged 4-10 who have sad days and don’t know what to do with themselves.
The basis of this exercise is that the child becomes responsible for fixing their own misery or sadness – they take some time out, lie down under a comfy blanket and attend to what is really going on inside them. Misery guts fixer works by creating a special imaginary character who hovers above the child and sprinkles gold dust all over them. The layer of bright golden dust feels warm and comforting.
