This seminar is Maggie Dent’s stand-alone presentation from her full-day conference, From Little Boys to Good Men, available on DVD or online.

A video presentation for anyone who lives or works with young boys, birth to eight.

In this 86-minute video seminar, popular Australian parenting author, educator and resilience specialist Maggie Dent talks about giving boys a great start, from birth to eight.

A former teacher and counsellor, Maggie, who has four adult sons, draws on current research, common-sense wisdom and her own experience to discuss what boys need at home and at school to thrive.

In the presentation, Maggie discusses many aspects of raising boys including building character, temperament, communication, technology, risk-taking, play, failure, anger, self-regulation, how to discipline boys without shaming them, and much more.

Maggie explores what parents and other ‘boy champions’ can do to help more of our boys shine in our chaotic, confused, rapidly changing world.

This presentation was filmed as part of the 2015 conference, ‘From Little Boys to Good Men: Helping Our Boys Shine in a Confused, Chaotic World’, featuring presentations from Maggie Dent, Clark Wight and Dr Arne Rubinstein – now available on DVD  and online

Since becoming a new mother to twin boys, I have become a Maggie addict.

This seminar is extremely helpful & informative.

The information shared has really supported me in having confidence in the way I am bringing up my children.

Thanks so much Maggie! Since watching your seminar I have relaxed & enjoyed my time with my kids!

I went to the seminar in Fremantle and was absolutely amazed. Maggie was witty, informative and I have gained and learnt so much. This is why, I purchased the video amd watched it again together with my husband at home. He was a bit sceptical at the start but loved it in the end. He also said that he got some great parenting tips out of it and a better understanding for our boy’s behaviour.
Love your work, Maggie! It all makes so much more sense.

I have three small boys. I found some incredibly helpful tips for engaging with them and knowing what to expect from them in this seminar. I also found it really helpful in terms of thinking longer term attachment and relationship, not just getting caught up in the day-to-day frustrations (hi there three year old who likes to smear suncream into my laptop keyboard etc).
