Here is some useful information for attending our one-day conference…

Calming Today’s Anxious Kids: Understanding & Supporting Children with Anxiety

Essential Info

– Your tickets are valid only for the venue you chose at the time of purchase.
– Venue doors will open at 8am. The event will kick off at 8.45am sharp and conclude at 3.30pm. We ask all attendees to please be seated by 8.45am.
– The conference is general allocation seating so you may sit wherever you like.
– We encourage you to bring your own sealed water bottle. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Registrations

On the morning of the event, please go to the registration tables and follow staff direction to locate your lanyard. Please ensure you have your ticket printed or open on your smartphone for our door staff to scan. Your lanyards are your tickets for entry into the auditorium, and we ask that you please wear them for the duration of the conference.

Getting There

Rydges Esplanade Resort Cairns and Holiday Apartments are at 209-217 Abbott St, Cairns City QLD 4870. The resort is only a short distance from the domestic and international airports by car or taxi.
From the airport (just north of the city) turn left at the first set of traffic lights onto Lake Street. Continue to the first roundabout and turn left onto Lily Street. This street will turn right and intercept the Esplanade.
Continue along the Esplanade to Rydges Esplanade Cairns, located just past Cairns Hospital and opposite the tennis courts.  You will turn right into their main driveway, where you can park while you check in.

Parking
Paid onsite car parking available for guests staying with Rydges Esplanade at a cost of $15 per day per vehicle (spaces limited).
See reception for details.
Parking also available for the general public.

Casual parking rates:
0-1 Hour – $3.00
1-2 Hours – $5.00
2-4 Hours – $9.00
4 Hours+ – $15.00

Parking rates are on a per day/per stay basis and restart at 6AM daily.
There is 150 car parks available over 2 levels, majority undercover.
On street parking is available.

Can’t find your tickets?

If you are unable to locate your ticket/s (they would have been sent from Ticketbooth to the email address you gave when you booked – so please check your spam folder, or if using Gmail, your promotions and update folders too), then follow this link to get your tickets reissued through our ticketing provider Ticketbooth.

Babies and toddlers

Please note that babes in arms are welcome but the event is not suitable for toddlers and older children. Some venues have quiet rooms.

Conference manual

We will email you a downloadable copy of the conference manual a few days ahead of the event. There will also be hard copies of this available at the event.

Your bonus downloads

Each ticket holder will receive a bundle of downloadable resources from Maggie Dent worth $43. The link to download these will be sent to you immediately after the conference via email.

Certificates of attendance

You will find instructions on how to obtain a printable/electronic certificate of attendance at the back of the conference manual, which you’ll receive at the event (and we’ll email these instructions too so you can instantly access your certificate).
