Words from the school:

Preshil is a deliberately small school, and there is a focus on preparing children for life after school, on creating confident, respectful independent thinkers.

“A backyard for our children”, Preshil’s distinctive physical environment is a setting in which children can find spaces to play imaginatively. The garden has uncultivated and dense shrubberies, animals, gardens and workshops.

Children are encouraged to climb, build, play, grow, create and learn in our large grounds where, incidentally, a lot of cubbies, shops and houses are built with real hammers, saws and nails at play time in a place called Hut Alley (among many other pursuits including music, drama and art).

Classrooms are deliberately welcoming spaces, each with a kitchen, comfortable couches and materials for creative expression.
