A few words from the school:

Marshall Road State School is a mid-sized urban school in the ‘green and leafy’ suburb of Holland Park West, Brisbane. Our students embrace all things nature play, with daily break time spaces to explore, our fledgling Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program and our community focus on sustainable living. As we build staff confidence in un-adulterating play, we find our students more confident in their problem solving abilities and more willing to explore to the edge of their comfort zone. We are building curiosity, resilience and grit through a childhood of risky play. Or, as Gert Biesta (2013) calls it “The beautiful risk of education”.
