The world has changed since those of us parenting or working with adolescents were teenagers ourselves. In this seminar, Maggie draws on almost 40 years of experience in teaching, raising and counselling adolescents to examine:
- Adolescence today — Why are we worried?
- Decoding teens — the changing brain’s ‘cracked windscreen’ view and emotional vulnerability
- Practical tips and strategies for communicating, living and working with adolescents
- Guiding adolescents — building resilience, being a lighthouse and helping young people to find their spark and keep it lit.
Here’s a sneak peak:
Maggie believes with more insight and understanding of the unique way in which our adolescents see their version of the world, we can guide them with more compassion, and allow them to feel really supported and valued. With wisdom, humour and a healthy dose of irreverence she shines a light on how to support and encourage your adolescents to thrive.

Loved it!! Online streaming worked easily, and Maggie was of course extremely engaging, funny and easy to listen to. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who ever comes into contact with adolescents 🙂

Excellent presentation. Would have loved to see Maggie in person, but the seminar was postponed indefinitely. Maggie makes so much sense and explains things in an easily understood way. Would absolutely recommend hearing anything and everything Maggie has to say! I didn’t give the seminar 5 stars because sometimes the slides moved through too quickly and it was sometimes hard to hear.
