For parents of children 12 & under
with Maggie Dent & Dr Kaylene Henderson
Anxiety is now the most common and fastest growing childhood mental health issue – so how do we support our children when they struggle in our chaotic, fast-paced, screen-obsessed world? In this seminar, parenting author, educator and resilience specialist Maggie Dent teams up with child psychiatrist and educator Dr Kaylene Henderson to explore what anxiety is and what to do about it.
Dr Kaylene will kick off the evening by examining how to build secure relationships with children and how to respond to emotional distress, before unplugging anxiety: what it looks like, why it happens, when it’s a problem and how to help.
Maggie will explore self-regulation for children and offer simple, effective strategies to bring more silence, stillness and calm into our homes.
Time: 9am-11.30am (doors open 8.15am)
Cost: $50
